The FN 545 Tactical takes the proven ergonomics and feature set of FN's 509 Tactical platform and brings them to the hard-hitting .45 ACP cartridge. With an available 18+1 capacity, optics-ready slide, threaded cold hammer-forged barrel, tritium night sights, and fully ambidextrous controls, the 545 Tactical arrives equipped with premium features straight from the factory.
High-Capacity .45 ACP
The FN 545 Tactical delivers impressive capacity for a full-size .45 ACP pistol. Standard configurations are available with 15- and 18-round magazines, while compliant configurations are available with 10-round magazines.
The extended configuration provides an 18+1 capacity, combining the larger .45 ACP cartridge with the capacity expected from a modern full-size pistol.
Optics-Ready Slide
FN's Low-Profile Optics-Mounting System™ allows many popular miniature red-dot optics to be mounted directly to the slide using the appropriate included hardware, eliminating the need for permanent slide modifications.
The machined steel slide features aggressive front and rear cocking serrations, a loaded-chamber indicator, and a high-endurance conical striker.
Steel dovetail sights with tritium lamps provide low-light visibility and are designed to co-witness with many compatible mounted red-dot optics.
Suppressor-Ready 4.71" Barrel
The FN 545 Tactical features a 4.71-inch cold hammer-forged barrel with a target crown and 1:16" right-hand twist.
A polished chamber and feed ramp support consistent feeding and extraction, while the .578x28 threaded muzzleaccommodates compatible muzzle devices and suppressors where legally permitted.
Refined Trigger & Ergonomics
A precision-tuned trigger provides a clean break with a factory-listed pull range of approximately 5.5 to 7.7 pounds.
FN's enhanced grip texture provides a secure interface between the shooter and pistol, while interchangeable backstrapsallow the grip profile to be adapted to different hand sizes.
